We're still looking for a rental house, and I've been working on a book illustration project that JUST finished up. On the bright side, the book illustration project just finished up! And I'll share the illustrations in a separate post!
I had fun drawing the phone choreography on this page. In the script, Erwin wasn't startled by Lillian slamming the story onto his desk. He says "I understand that, but I need someone to confirm..." and trails off. In my initial drawing, Erwin was kind of juggling/fumbling with the phone and receiver in panel 3, when Lillian gets in his face. Barry interpreted the drawing as "startled and dropping the phone," so we moved that action to panel 1 and he changed the dialogue. (Thanks for the expressive lettering, Barry!)
Thanks, as always, for the support on Patreon. I've been working on multiple simultaneous projects and feeling perma-behind for a really long time now, so I've decided to only draw for fun until I get back home. I'll be drawing postcards while I'm on vacation, and sharing those here, but SuperButch will restart updates at the end of August. See you there!
