Hi patrons!
Whew, it feels good to get to a new panel layout. [Barry's script actually says "We finally (finally!) change angles" for panel 2.]
(reference photo for Lillian's arms and jacket)
The poses for SuperButch and the flying cop are very much thanks to Barry. I couldn't figure out a way for SuperButch to plausibly punch the guy onto Lillian's table. After a couple hours of unsatisfactory doodling...

...I just asked Barry to draw a suggestion layer.
It's been fun following Mona, Ruth, and the other background characters through the last couple pages. The script gave me a lot of room to play around there. I "borrowed" two of the dancers from the Gladys Bentley concert in page 121, assuming they're regulars and don't own a lot of different outfits. The fellow with the suit is from an old photo in a NYC dive bar. A lot of the action depended on where I could find space in between Lillian, the waitress in the foreground, the cops, and SuperButch. There was a lot of improvising, and scooting figures around on different Photoshop layers as if they were paper dolls.
Thanks, as always, for supporting me on Patreon! I hope you enjoy these peeks behind the scenes.
