I feel like I should re-share this cartoon Barry wrote (and I drew) last summer:
Barry and I have been hearing from out-of-town loved ones who read/watch the news. There's a balance in trying to A) reassure them that Portland is unchanged except for a few blocks downtown, and B) inform them that people in uniform are committing war crimes on those few blocks, so please freak out accordingly.
Speaking of downtown Portland, if you haven't heard of Riot Ribs, this is worth a read!
