Turtle Sketches

I'm running a little late on the comic page (partially due to having had an incomplete understanding of the bar layout, and then getting overly invested in creating the perfect realistic vintage warehouse-converted-to-dive-bar floor plan for the rest of this scene so you're welcome?) I mentioned in an earlier post that I wanted Captain Turtle's costume and gadgets to have turtle-like details in them. In order to get familiar with turtle shapes, I drew a bunch of turtles in my sketchbook. These are some of my favorites.
Also, there's a doodle of my character Shoulder Angel as a greaser, thanking some friends for loaning Barry and me their car to get to GeekGirlCon last month--thanks, Rachel and Mike!
