The only episode of modern Who that I've never finished. I watched it on the day it was broadcast and 20 minutes in I turned it off. Over 2 years later and I've still not gone back....

On the TARDIS being ancient, the prior owner of the Ship was actually the Master's father, Marnal, who got fucked over pretty heavy by the Doctor's father, Ulysses. Marnal was going to expose the Doctor's mother being human so Ulysses wiped his mind and left him on Earth in the late 19th Century where he basically became H.G. Welles but all his books are based on Doctor adventures.
