Dodo's last name is Chaplet which Steven and the Doctor take as a possible descendent of Anne, indicating she survived the Massacre. However both later reflect in other stories that this is incredibly unlikely unless Anne had a son out of wedlock to carry her name. The flip side of that is the TARDIS could have sought Dodo out sensing the fissure opening between the Doctor and Steven. Ten married Queen Elizabeth 10 years prior to this so she's over in England rn waiting for him.

2020-10-02 00:45:52 +0000 UTCDodo had just been attacked by a godlike being fueled by belief that was holding her captive and trying to rape her accidently after murdering and impersonating the senior citizen Dodo used to help out. She lied about the kid because it didn't make sense what actually happened. From here they go to New York without traveling in time and have to stop the belief creatures. It's fleshed out in a book called Salvation.
