The companion in the leather bikini was named Leela. Her first appearance was in season 14’s “The Face of Evil” with the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker). I encourage you to investigate. As for Amy’s impulsive behavior, I think she was still shaken by her near-death experience. And she wasn’t entirely wrong about the Doctor’s intentions as evidenced by the roster of female companions. I liked when Ten looked up at the TARDIS and said, “Thanks, dear. Leave out the metal dog, why don’t you?”
