Well it didn't change the past, this was always how Hodor began and ended. As the TER says, "The past is already written, the ink is dry". There is no particular reason for the exact visions we see, Bran's supposed to be seeing everything and he's been doing it for over a year, we've just been looking in at certain points. Don't forget, Nymeria is still running around down in the Riverlands. Seven Kingdoms is a bit of a misnomer, probably stemming from Dorne not originally being part of it until over a century later and the Riverlands being ruled by an Ironborn king when Aegon conquered it, so supposedly he counted them as one, or the Crownlands were not originally counted since he established it later on. The nine regions are: 1) The North[Stark-Bolton/Winterfell] 2) The Vale[Arryn/Eyrie] 3) The Riverlands[Tully-Frey/Riverrun-Twins] 4)The Iron Islands[Greyjoy/Pyke] 5) The Westerlands[Lannister/Casterly Rock] 6) The Reach[Tyrell/Highgarden] 7) The Crownlands[Targaryen-Baratheon/King's Landing] 8) The Stormlands[Baratheon/Storm's End] 9) Dorne[Martell/Sunspear]
