Never noticed before that the middle name of Adelaide's granddaughter is Fontana. Is this a homage to Star Trek's prolific writer Dorothy (D.C.) Fontana? Not that it's important.

2019-05-03 21:32:28 +0000 UTCIce Warriors, the water is something else, some sort of pestilence the Ice Warriors had to contend with that was buried deep long ago. The Ice Warriors are largely dead or dormant but quite different, tall and green. Rose broke her own timestream by saving her father, opening a wound in time, the Doctor changed a fixed point in the universe, it would have to either be rectified like Adelaide did or it would likely cause the entire temporal nexus to start disintegrating. The Doctor never could have saved her without sacrificing the universe.
