I think part of why Jaime has so much vitriol for Tyrion right now is because he knew what his father was, but it was still his father and he feels partly responsible for his death by freeing Tyrion. The High Sparrow is the new High Septon, and they killed those brothel dudes for engaging in homosexual acts, which is why Olyver looked so shook, since he's gay too. He's not bi though, remember the conversation he had with Oberyn about not limiting life's pleasures to one sex or the other. The Faith Militant used to be a common order in the days before Aegon's Conquest, but the they were largely destroyed and slaughtered by Maegor the Cruel, who also burned down the Sept of Remembrance with hundreds of Faith Militant and Poor Fellows inside and built the Dragonpit over the ruins. As for Littlefinger, he's only backing himself, whoever he has to throw in with at the moment to get there, so be it.
