So. Many. Extended Who. Spoilers. Well, the big concept stuff rather than direct plot points at least. However, it's unlikely Alex will reach even an eighth of these.

Post-regeneration the energy makes Time Lords above average in strength and durability for a short time, and the yellow regen blast was never established until NuWho, pretty much every classic regen looked different. They tried to give TARDISes interactable AI interfaces once but the nature of their engineering makes this impossible. The Eye is that subslice of the star they detonated to power TARDISes, all later models have them. The Master's primary goal pretty much is cheating death, so he's been known to seed time and space with backup plans in the event of his death. The Doctor's outfit is that Wild Bill Hickock costume that mortician mentioned. Eight's style was definitely the template for RTD when he was reviving the show and he drew inspiration from the War in Heaven from the Eight Doctor Novels for the LGTime War, although they are different events. Time Lords do have thirteen lives, you're gonna have to wait on that one. Now about incarnations before Hartnell, you're opening up a whole other issue. It's possible that the Doctor is a genetic reincarnation of a Time Lord called the Other, who along with Rassilon and Omega founded Time Lord society after the Age of the Pythia, who used bloodmagic and premonition shit to interact with the Time Vortex instead of science. The Other went missing, may have jumped into the genetic looms that create TIme Lords, then was reincarnated into Hartnell. His parents may also be a Time Lord named Ulysses and a human woman named Penelope Gate. I was very against it for a long time but now take it as canon, although I would argue he is only 25% human since Ulysses and Penelope would have had to conceive the Doctor within the loom to enable cross-species progenation, so half would be their child and half being the Other. I personally believe the Other was a Time Lord active shortly before the Doctor who traveled back to early Time Lord history and become the Other, since the Other was allegedly far more knowledgeable than he let on, and even Rassilon feared him somewhat. The Other ultimately loom-jumps and is partially reincarnated into himself who goes back, creating a small loop and giving him the foreknowledge he has, and then fully is reincarnated into the Doctor. This is why the Seventh Doctor can command control over the Hands of Omega, which only those three founding TLs could do. McGann probably has the most extensive run as the Doctor, between books, comics and his massive audio library. Three was a Venusian aikido master, he was always roughing fools up. The Master spends some years on a screen in the Doctor's TARDIS for a while, escapes into the vortex and becomes a body-snatcher for a while, jumping from host to host, but he was ultimately revived by the Time Lords and granted a new regeneration cycle (13 incarnations) because they needed him for some shit, he spends some time in the LGTime War, flees and chameleons and you know the rest.

To add to my comments for Remembrance: Grade and Powell (the sci-fy hating BBC execs) had attempted to cancel Dr Who back in 1985,but had been deluged by angry fan mail and outraged newspaper headlines ("Your killing one of Britains best!" etc);so had no choice to keep on ploughing money into it. In 1989 they were approached by an British Exec working for Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment (which,in turn, was financed by Universal) with an offer to make a movie. This took place during production of the final story of Season 26 - and Grade and Powell jumped on the chance to accept the offer,as it meant that 1) they could cancel the TV series, knowing that they now had the perfect riposte to the fans ("There's going to be a movie instead!"),and would NOT get rapped over the knuckles this time around;2) IF the movie was a hit,the BBC would make a nice profit without having to actually put any money into it. Unfortunately, the project went into the inevitable 'Hollywood development hell';and didn't get made for over five years - by which time Spielberg had pulled out, feeling that the script had turned the Doctor into a time-travelling Indiana Jones. Meanwhile,Grade and Powell had moved on to other TV stations, and been replaced by a new set of executives who were - wonder of wonders - fans of science-fiction! They immediately put a team together;sent them off to the USA;and between them,Universal (without Amblin) AND Fox (who had also been roped in) came up with the script for the Movie...which no doubt explains why (despite being fun to watch) the story is all over the place, and full of unanswered questions! (The Doctor being half-human,for example, was included because Fox refused to believe that audiences in the U.S. would sympathise with a hero who was alien - cf. Mr Spock). Finally,in this very long post, the reason it took the BBC another 7 years before putting the TV series back in production again was because Fox held the temporary rights (in case further movies should be developed);and the BBC had to wait impatiently (RTD had been itching to develop it from 1998) for the property to legally revert back to them again. Phew...I hope that fills you in!
