Your channel was what introduced me to S-K, and seeing what they've become since The Center Won't Hold, makes me wonder if the reunion was meant to be at all. I haven't sought out any of their new music since Center because of all that. It just hurts the soul a bit.

2025-02-27 00:41:04 +0000 UTCThe last two Sleater-Kinney records have felt like "apology" albums for the one they did with St. Vincent, but they've either sounded awful or are nowhere near as memorable as their best stuff. And I'm sorry, I'm not interested without Janet. Carrie and Corin may feel differently, but Janet was just as important to that band's sound. Proof is in the pudding.
