Definitely an entertaining film that got pretty tense as it went on, and all you wanted was this kid to be friggen happy 😩

I love how all the adult (male) characters need to find something magical, lightening in a bottle. They need to believe. They’re all searching for Bobby Fischer. They bring their own failures to their decision-making and put those onto Josh (or the other kids). The exception is Vinnie. He’s searching for Bobby Fischer, too, but it’s just because he enjoys the game and loves seeing what brilliant minds can do. He wants to see “Bobby Fischer” play, but he’s not looking for anyone to actually be Bobby Fischer.
