What a way to end the month of October!
I can definitely see why so many people enjoy this movie; super entertaining, creepy, and just a good flick to watch for this month/Halloween. Really enjoyable overall!
Oh also, Michael Myers is friggen Superman. Change my mind π

Gah. My response to you kept disappearing, so I put it in a separate comment. Patreon eats a lot of them. I meant to add, the nurse at the start, I think she opened the window so she could yell for the doctor. I suppose she could have just honked at him, though. When she got out of the car, she actually did the correct thing. In training to deal with carjacking and hostage situations or abduction, they tell you that if someone tries to steal your car, or if an attacker is in the car with you, either because they want the car or because they are attacking you, you're supposed to get out of the car and give it to them if that's what they're after. They say that once an abductor or attacker takes you away from the location of the attack, your chances of escape go down by half. If she had not gotten out, one of two things would have likely happened. Micheal would have killed her in the car, or he would have driven off with her. Well, Micheal being who he is, would have killed her right off, but normally, those would be the outcomes. Getting out of the car saved her life. Her response was the correct one. What's weird is that she gave the correct response well before nurses would have been trained in how to react, or before this kind of thing was something women are taught as a rule. I know, it's strange for someone to critique this kind of thing or think this deeply about a horror film that's supposed to be what I like to call candy bar horror (something you watch for the action and the gore and the kills that isn't supposed to have a lot of depth or make much sense), but analyzing stuff to do with serial killers and murder is fascinating to me. I'm a crime buff, so that stuff presses all my geek buttons.
