Love the “‘do that’ girl” reference

2025-08-06 19:31:31 +0000 UTCI kinda love the use of lighting at the end of the episode, the scene with Buffy and Spike. She sits in the shadows with him and is able to share what she's been keeping back. The sunlight when she first steps out and throughout the scene is harsh and too bright, like everything feels to Buffy right now. And then once her secret has been shared with Spike, she gets up and walks away, into the light where he can't follow. She's going to stay in that harsh, bright light (forced happiness) with her friends and keep the secret from them. Spike can't help her with that, no matter how badly he might want to. :(

2025-07-18 16:16:20 +0000 UTC"Willow wouldn't do that" - Yeah the same Willow who tried to do an anti love spell on Xander without his consent; because she couldn't deal with their feelings for one another; the same Willow who ignored Giles' attempt at guidance when she decided to sneak looks at magical texts Giles didn't think she was ready for; the same Willow who blew out the entire power grid attempting to do something she actually wasn't ready for; the same Willow who immediately jumped straight to throwing down a major hex on Oz and Veruca, then almost got her friends killed with her 'Do as I will' spell, because she decided she wanted to speedrun the natural grieving process; the same Willow that almost ended up causing a Zombie Joyce to come walking through the door when Buffy and Dawn were already struggling enough with their loss; the same Willow that almost got herself killed going on a rampage against a Hell God; the same Willow that has lied to Tara about magic specifics twice in the last 3 episodes. That Willow? She would totally do that. When it comes to magic she's the 'do that' girl.
