This episode reminded me of what Buffy went through when she lost her power's and she always wanted to have a normal life but realized that being the Slayer is more important. Great episode.

2025-03-24 23:55:14 +0000 UTCThe Powers that Be are basically this show's version of God or the Universe or whatever controls things like destiny and Apocalypses and all of that. Buffy has to know that Angel rejected the ring. I'm not sure how, but it didn't come into their conversation at all in the sewer, so she must have already known. You nailed my number one issue with this plot point - he didn't talk to Buffy, or get her opinions on it, or anything. Just like when he decided to leave Sunnydale for her. Angel acting "on her behalf" but without her consent or agreement always frustrates me. Still... this episode makes me sob every time. The second the Buffy/Angel love theme starts to play. </3
