I know it’s 1999, but if frustratingly horny Buffy and Angel saw Eyes Wide Shut they’d probably still need that cold shower.

2025-07-08 16:38:54 +0000 UTCOf all the longer-running villains throughout the series (excluding Spike, who only showed this season in a single episode), the Mayor is my favorite. There are other memorable villains, both one-shot and seasonal (I won't hint about any to come in the next 4 seasons), but Mayor Wilkins is such a walking contradiction, and I'm here for it. He amuses me endlessly. I don't count Trick as a longer-running villain because he was horribly underutilized and killed off in a decidedly anti-climatic way; otherwise, he likely would have been a top contender. The actor and character were both mesmerizing to me onscreen, and I'm still salty all these years later that the writers did him dirty. I don't think I gave away any spoilers by saying there are other memorable villains to come, because really, that's just a given that Buffy seasons contain villains. As they show, then I can say which ones are my favorites, after Mayor Wilkins.

2025-02-22 00:37:24 +0000 UTCIt wasn't a real-world movie they saw. According to background trivia, it was a fictional French film. Most likely with a lot of naked sex scenes, and some of those scenes involving the use of food....and a kimono.
