Have you ever witnessed a parent shouting at their child when it's returned after running off? That's the release of the parent's fear and worry. I've always thought that the way that Joyce and the Scoobies react to Buffy is like that. First it's like they're treading on eggshells and then the anguish all comes bursting out in response to a trigger.

2025-07-03 14:51:42 +0000 UTCFortunately, the rest of this season is pretty fire, tbh. There are only maybe 2 episodes I skip, and this is one of them (I'll watch with you, though). This episode is clunky to me, and uncomfortable for all the wrong reasons. Too much feels out of character for some of the people involved, the undead cat is awful because I love cats, and I don't love the zombie aspect.

2025-02-01 01:14:10 +0000 UTCI will say that, while I do wish Cordy's wording during the argument was better, it still felt very Cordelia. Her intentions felt very sincere, at least to me. In her own Cordelia way, she was trying to point out how much Angel meant to Buffy and how alienated and alone Buffy felt after everything went down She was on her side for all the right reasons but just ended up unintentionally making things worse with how easy it is for her to revert back to insults

There's no logical answer for it either--apparently it's just for symmetry and aesthetics I hate it and I will never be the same person again--thank you
