Buffy 2x19 "I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU" UNCUT REACTION

I love this episode! An inappropriate relationship, big age gap, one partner wakes up and seemingly stops loving the other. The distraught partner kills the one they love in a moment of blind passion and has so much guilt and shame that they are unable to forgive themselves (ie James/Buffy). It is so sad that Buffy feels responsible for killing Angel and she is desperate for him to come back and forgive her. She doesnβt feel deserving of forgiveness but she clearly needs it.

2025-01-24 07:38:16 +0000 UTCI have finally caught up so I can start putting my d20 in the comments! 30 episodes in & I've guessed 7 correctly, but every one of those was directly because of something said and or the reaction to the roll. (I'm 14 episodes in on Supernatural, but I got the first 2 rolls correct and I was riding a high from that, lol) d20 guess: 19 I might change that to 20 before the next ep drops, I'm torn

2025-01-24 06:19:51 +0000 UTCI should probably clarify, because she didn't deserve to die. But she *chose* to become involved with a student. While she is a victim, she is not a blameless one. Neither of them are blameless.

2025-01-24 01:26:10 +0000 UTCThis episode...I'm always left feeling so awful for poor George, the humble janitor. With the supernatural involvement, there's simply no way to prove his innocence, even with the disappearing murder weapon. He will have gone to prison for at the very least manslaughter if not 2nd degree murder, and even worse, that poor man will be plagued the rest of his life with undeserved guilt over it. That's the part of this episode that makes me feel the saddest. James and the teacher? While she didn't deserve death, her own choices put her in the situation, and it's not easy to feel any sympathy for her; she should have gone to prison for predatory behavior. And James was, to put it bluntly, a killer. Yes, James was a victim of a predator and also a teenager, immature and way over his head, so there is leeway for understanding his emotional state. But I'm kinda with Buffy on him. You don't bring a gun and not intend some kind of force or violence.

2025-01-24 01:02:44 +0000 UTCSo....I'm a tabletop gamer and appreciate the almighty d20 and all of that, but I'm admit I'm flummoxed by the die rolls every episode. π I'm a brand new Patreon to JerBear, beginning when he started Buffy, so I've no idea what the die rolls are all about. Can someone who's been with him longer clue me in so I stop being mystified? Is there a payoff at the end of the series? Are the rolls meant to relate somehow to the episodes? I'm so confused, LOL. Of course, it could be the explanation is in the wrap-up at the end of each episode, which I confess I don't stay for because I'm a squirrel and sign out as soon as an episode is done. I apologize to Jer if that comes off rude.
