I love the show making fun of itself showing the very rare time that other students want to use the library. Jenny’s death is always so sad to me and Angel’s delight in seeing their pain makes it so much worse.

2025-01-21 08:28:44 +0000 UTCPublic places -- stores, restaurants, bars...The Bronze -- have an implied invitation that vampires can presumably use, given that we have seen them in The Bronze, and Angelus said he found the heart for Dru in "a quaint little shopgirl." Public schools would be a bit of a grey area; Angelus said the sign out front was an invitation, but when Spike and his crew crashed the parent-teacher night, they weren't seeking knowledge of any kind, just a massacre. An actual private dwelling like house or apartment requires an invitation. Any further invitation lore is spread out over this series and its spinoff series, so I won't go into any more detail. That is all we know right now about vampire invitations.
