"He speaks english by the way". "His a normal guy" I know what your getting at but probably not the best way to put it, haha. Like come on, a british accent IS normal, EVERY accent is normal, people who are like british, are normal people too, and we funnily enough speak english as well. Better way to put it is probably saying, he has a american accent in real life like me ha XD and he DOES have a accent, american accent is definitly real, you just can't hear it, just like you can't hear your own accent, that I can hear when you speak :) "oh benedict cumberbatch has a accent" well yes, but this implies you don't, which isn't true ha, so its better to say "oh benedict cumberbatch has a british accent" since you americans DO have accents too you know, come on now haha

2025-09-02 13:12:52 +0000 UTCSeth Green was doing other projects and had to sometimes change his hair color, so the writers rolled with it rather than making him wear a wig. At least, that's the background story I heard about it. It actually makes for an interesting little quirk of the character, IMO. Poor James Marsters, on the other hand, had to endure a regular bleaching to play Spike. Edited: Anthony Stewart Head ("Giles") helped coach Marsters on his British accent. Although as I understand it, Anthony put on a more uppercrust accent to portray Giles, and he actually doesn't speak quite so posh IRL. So he is also doing a bit of an accent change.
