On the 'reading someones diary' subject, your patreon and yt are kinda a diary if you think about it. Edit: Also, If Buffy is the Slayer and kinda important...shouldnt her mom be aware of it?

2025-03-02 06:48:11 +0000 UTCI'm not a huge fan of Buffy and Angel together, mostly because of the huge age gap (him turning at 26). I could kind of let it slide with other vampire shows/ movies (like TVD and Twilight), as both main characters turned 17, so it was a little less icky, but either way, it's all just gross to me. Angel and Buffy's relationship doesn't and will never sit right with me, and I don't particularly enjoy their scenes together.

2024-12-22 07:08:59 +0000 UTCI should add, David Boreanz was around 28 years old when he started portraying Angel on Buffy. So he was close to the pre-vampire age of Angel, though I agree that he does look like he could be in his 30s. It's that chiseled face, difficult to place an accurate age on it. Which kind of makes him a decent choice to play a non-aging vampire. But even being in his early 20s with a 16 year old is cringe, and adding 240 years on top of it is quite gross. I definitely don't look at this series with the same eyes as when it first aired. Just because a vampire doesn't *physically* age doesn't change the fact that their life experience is vastly beyond a teenager's, and they are not "eternally in their 20s," except in physical appearance. Needless to say, I do not ship Buffy and Angel. I've no problem with the fans who buy into the romantic thing despite the problematic age/experience difference, but I personally don't find it romantic, or sweet, or funny. When I was a teenager, that would be a different story, I'm sure, but being an adult now of...well, older than pre-vampire Angel anyway, LOL, it's just no longer a part of the series that I enjoy. Guess we'll have to see where they take it, if the writers do anything further with it.
