I agree that the writing was poor. I just can't get behind sending them to the prison world. Again, I just feel like it's not a just punishment for really anything! It's like the definition of cruel and unusual punishment lol. You're right - Emma deserves as much judgment as Ric does for it. Though I can understand the concern for the deaths of the human kids, they basically showed Ric talking to his students ONCE and then deciding to make the most extreme decision possible. (It was said in the flashback that he talked to the other two and they "weren't talking"). He basically sentenced them to death, but was too much of a coward to actually do it, and so he left them to suffer for eternity. And it makes no sense that he didn't even suspect the humanity thing, if he noticed Jade was acting completely different. How are you going to be a headmaster of supernatural kids, and someone who was once also a vampire, and not think of that? It makes him look so bad lol

Previous episodes have shown that Ric will protect his students from the world, but also that he expects them to protect the world from themselves. He knows how dangerous a bad supernatural is, and Jade showed no remorse for her actions when Ric approached her about it. We don't know if he interviewed the other student either, but i assume they had similar reactions. Also, the choice to send them there wasn't his alone; he needed help from the teacher, which means she also found their sentence fitting the crime. 4 or 5 kids were dead and many more could die.

2024-10-02 17:44:03 +0000 UTCto me, it feels like being sent to the prison world forever is a fate worse than death, and I have a hard time believing its justified even if they killed those people in cold blood. much worse has been done by people ric was friends with lol. but not only that, the two girls didnt mean to do it, and he ended up deciding they were both lost causes? he had a whole speech about how unlike jade it was, and yet he couldn't figure out she flipped her humanity off? just seems like he's not fit to make those kinds of decisions
