this episode is good but sucks for all of our characters lol, I have to say I didn’t really connect to Jace as a character much before this season, I’ve always enjoyed his loyalty and love for his family and clary but this season really made me understand him more and the writers should’ve been building his character from the start this way, I enjoy the acting from dom this episode that scene w him and alec and izzy broke my heart!!

2024-07-27 22:38:57 +0000 UTCYou know, the funny thing is, Mattew Daddario (who plays Alec) said that Alec would choose Magnus over Jace in a situation where he would need to choose, but I personally feel like he would choose Jace, since he is the other half of Alec's soul, his parabatai, the show just failed to portray how special that bond is. Ideally, I think Alec would prefer to die instead of Jace, not that he would sacrifice Magnus for him. But also, I’m not sure Jace would give up Clary to save Alec.

2024-07-26 00:02:46 +0000 UTCThis makes me hate the Clave so much. It is very clear that they are very different from our gang and their attempts to unite the Shadow World. The Clave, even under the new leadership is sanctimonious self-righteous assholes with an absolute rigid attitude. If you don't follow their bigoted rules or offend them in any way, it is the harshest punishment. What would justify a death sentence even after Clary basically saved the Shadow World? Because now they don't have something to commit an entire genocide on a group of people they consider as less? And the arrogance of Penhallow that she would not have used the wish even if it was her daughter lying dead. Absolutely hate that. Poor Jace. He was so scared 😢 This is going to drive Alec mad and Magnus must feel so bad that he could not stop Lillith. The mortal instruments did not dissolve in the lake. Valentine was in the shallow edge of the lake and they probably retrieved it from the lake.
