That conversation between Alec and Magnus and the 'but as a leader' haunts me to this day. Even if it felt natural for them to part ways like that, it still makes me so sad, and they were so sick of giving us all these cute flashbacks right before the breakup... Also, fun (not really) fact: Max actually dies in the books and it absolutely destroys the Lightwoods. I know they couldn't kill an eleven year old on a TV show like that, but as a fan of the book, I still don't know how I feel about this decision.

I've heard of several Jewish families who order Chinese food on Christmas. Maybe because it's always a public holiday and a lot of businesses are closed.

2024-07-09 23:12:52 +0000 UTCI love this episode! It is fantastic and so sad to hear Maya's story how she was turned. You're absolutely correct. That was assault with a tragic outcome. It breaks my heart that Maya associates something so horrific with love. Now we know why she pumped the brakes so hard when Simon wanted more 💔 I liked the transition from Magnus' thoughts to flashbacks of him and Alec establishing trust, their first time and the pillow talk the morning after ❤️ They are in such a difficult position. Both of them are leaders of their respective groups. The Seelie Queen is not wrong in not trusting the Clave who proved themselves as prejudiced, hypocritical assholes who would not hesitate to persecute downworlders at the slightest suspicion of obstruction. Remember the tracking chips? I would have great difficulty trusting the Clave except for our gang who proved themselves trustworthy. Poor Alec's face when Magnus walked away 😢 Well, shit! Now Jonathan and Valentine are running around wild and the Downworld is planning to declare war on the Shadowhunters. Tough times
