Just as Alec and Clary are in a better place, a demon uses him to kill her mom. It makes sense as Izzy said the demon fed off anger and Alec was angry with Jocelyn for trying to kill Jace. Poor Alec. As if he doesn't have enough internalized self hatred π I like how we get a glimpse at the way Magnus views the downworlders he takes under his wing as his children. Does that make Simon and Rafael brothers? π Technically Valentine is responsible for Jocelyn's death because he send the demon as a distraction. He is truly evil π The fallout of this will be huge. Aldertree has every reason now to amp up the hunt for Valentine. At least Jace saved him but the magic sword is gone.
