Dean’s “I never was” cuts deep, man.
Ketch’s lines have to be written to sound unbearable on purpose. Some of the over the top Britness of some of the stuff he says is wild.
BRO that paused at 24:19 had me cackling.
I think the actress who plays that vamp must look like someone else. I thought I recognized her too, but I personally hadn’t seen her in anything else.
Agreed, “get off my lawn” could have been disastrous but he killed that line.
For as much shit as we give this show for its macguffins, I have to say they do treat the Colt with a level of respect and gravitas (most of the time) that I think is extremely cool. The Colt kicks fucking ass and so does every single one of its slomo shots.
I think I genuinely feel bad for Mick. Partially because I think I like the actor’s portrayal so much.
Mary bringing Sam to the hideout while Mick went to Dean with alcohol and a case after that first scene was a fun way of cutting the episode into two stories while still having them be connected.
Not sure why, but I really like this one.
Moorehead (long-haired spells guy in BMoL) was also Max — the guy who saw the demon open the plane door — from 1x4 Phantom Traveler, as well as Sand Demon on The Flash. Funnily enough, the other dude on that squad, the curly haired one, played the Turtle (another villain) on The Flash.

Mary being back, and not just as a cameo or in the past, we get to meet her, like really get to know her as a character. Not the romanticized version of her in John or Dean's stories. She's cool, she's stubborn, she's messy, and she messes up just like the boys and it makes her all the better. This show has the problem of fridging women for the plot to continue, it literally starts that way and because of that the dead woman in every version becomes perfect, unrealistic, and romanticized in her lover's memory and thus how the audience experiences her. Supernatural got to have a redo and have Mary actually be a character. She admits she never cooked that meatloaf, she bought it. She kept hunting a bit even after Dean was born. She doesn't have the best selection for bed partners but it's her choice to make. She's not just a mom. it's like Dean said all the way back in season 5, "Their marriage was only perfect after she died."
