I like that sudden cut to Crowley, personally. The juxtaposition of how at odds they’ve been, with how they simply have no other option. Almost all of our main players were together in a room because they suddenly had the same goal and it was as simple as that. It feels impactful to me, the fact that everyone had to immediately accept that this is what had to happen because there’s legit no alternate plan to save the universe. MARKY MARK BAYBEEEE. I fucking love him. What a promo. Plus the organs in the score on certain shots of his face, fantastic. Wait, can angels fly again or did those angels all sneak up together on Amara and Dean and then stand in a line? Sam’s somewhat long-built supposed connection to god coming back around to Lucifer is so good. This idea that for Sam, it’s never been god. It’s always been Lucifer. Lucifer and Sam have a connection and this, in Sam’s mind, is probably proof that no matter what he does or how good he thinks he’s making himself, Lucifer is always there. Waiting and watching. I LOVE it. Daniel the angel was also a uni cop on Lucifer. This ep barely had any guest stars in large roles because it was so mythos focused, which is a problem that on some level, I enjoy having. 17!
