I think it actually works Dean knowing he's hurting Charlie. Because it shows how far gone he really is, he knew he was hurting her, but it didn't matter. He couldn't stop himself. I think it's silly for Dean to be on a diet all of the sudden. Like, how is that going to help with the mark? I guess he's trying anything though. I was never a huge fan of the Oz stuff, especially because they basically say the word "Oz" twice in every sentence, but I do love seeing Charlie again. Great reaction as always! 2023-12-11 18:20:52 +0000 UTCThe subtitles make sense to me considering they’re closed captioning for people who are hard of hearing. The idea is you’re supposed to recognize her voice, plus she steps out of the shadow immediately. Personally I think subtitles in general ruin and spoil moments for me, so I don’t use them for things like TV or movies. I’m always happy to see Charlie, but I wish I found Felicia Day intimidating or suave. As it is I thought dark Charlie was a little cringe, but I can forgive it. I think some of it is the writing, the writing in this show can be the bad kind of cheesy sometimes. Regardless, Charlie and Felicia Day are always a treat. Peak little sister energy. I think Dean knowing about the connection the two versions of Charlie had makes what happened extremely impactful. He knew he would be hurting good Charlie but either didn’t care, or the mark caused such an intense rage to build up inside him that it momentarily pushed that thought out of his mind. Both options are super scary for what it could mean for him. He's definitely not in control, no matte how many egg whites he eats. Russell (the sleazy guy) was the sleazy professor from 2x15 Tall Tales, and Clive (the retired Man of Letters) played Odin in 5x19 Hammer of the Gods. 17!
