2023-12-21 09:14:38 +0000 UTCyeah this show isn't great to its female characters, or females in general. the naked torture scenes for Ruby (and then Meg in the same bindings) as well as this scene with Polly are just gross and unnecessary in my opinion. you don't see male demons getting stripped down to nothing to get tortured

2023-10-01 23:47:34 +0000 UTCSo happy the season is over lol The Leviathans could have been really cool after the season 7 premiere but were just flat. Even with the email in ep20 it will always feel extremely lazy to kill a character off screen. I hate it every time lol

2023-09-12 13:40:07 +0000 UTCThe thing reactors forget is that demon deals need to be SEALED WITH A KISS. I knew right away Crowley was playing Dick. Of course the first bone was a fake. That was obvious when Dean pulled out the second one. BTW, I have a friend in his 60s who goes by 'Dick'. Even in the 80s, when we first met him, Dick was an unpopular name for Richard, but it never bothered my friend. And honestly, we don't even think about the weirdness of his name when talking with or about him. He's just Dick S.... to us. 29:05 I also found it odd that they made Polly change. It felt like just an excuse to get the bobby pins in reach of Kevin. 33:50 LOLOL I knew you'd become a Destiel shipper! It was implied that Frank was killed when you saw his trailer covered in blood. His email to Sam & Dean in Ep 20 confirmed it. I disagree that this was an unsatisfactory finale. Both Sam & Dean are alone in different circumstances. We rescued Kevin, only for him (and Meg) to be taken by Crowley. This sets up the beginning of S8 nicely. We need to figure out how to get Dean out of purgatory and how to rescue Kevin. Maybe that's what Sam's going to work on? I guess we should rescue Meg too, since she's shown her loyalty. James Patrick Stewart however, was a delight as Dick Roman. Too bad they didn't develop the Leviathans beyond him, Edgar & Chet. I am glad this season is over, though. I just wish we could avoid the Sam storyline at the beginning of next season.

2023-09-09 05:23:35 +0000 UTCBobby going did feel a bit weird, in terms of the focus, but I guess they were pressed for time to go and take care of Dick? I’m not sure. Did feel like I should have felt more than I did when it happened, kind of underwhelming. I thought the dick jokes were fine, they actually kind of fit imo. Made me laugh every time, and that kind of humour doesn’t usually pop me. While I’m glad the leviathan story is over, I am sad to see James Patrick Stewart’s Dick Roman go. He was fucking great, super weird in the perfect way. A fantastic performance, even if not a fantastic character. I don’t think we need to see everything done on camera tbh. Like Frank just vanishing into thin air was supposed to do what it did; if they found him and then watched him die or something it would have undermined his disappearance. When people vanish, they don’t always show back up again. There are a decent amount of unanswered questions though. The end was their plan going wrong, which would be why we didn’t end up seeing the lab blow up or anything. Plus they clearly wanted to end the show with Sam reacting to being left alone. This is SPN tho, so who the hell knows how next season is going to start, LOL. As an episode and a finale I think this was fine, but I don’t remember what my initial reaction to it would have been at the time. Watching it now, I think it’s good. It’s still a bit weird, given it’s in the season it’s in, but I like it. I am glad to be done though. Here's to season eight! Susan, Dick Roman’s right hand woman, was in Marco Polo, as well as played Linda Park (aka Dr Light???) on Arrow, before they recast her in the Flash with Malese Jow, aka Anna from TVD! Layers to that one, lol. 17! Yeah, I said it.
