People had questions as to why she was always able to get one over on the boys, as it made them look like bumbling idiots - which, yes... some fans took issue with. But she wasn't hated. That's what PR tells the gossip sites/vloggers/"insider magazines" to create a false narrative and leverage the fans against the actors so they can pay them less or cut them out of contracts. "You're not popular so we're not paying you what you want" citing planted articles. HW business tactics 101. The Kayfabe is everywhere. LBR... It's always about the money. And the writers strike meant they needed to cut costs. Keeping her around for an episode here or there would have been too much money and she would have been obligated to stay with the network instead of moving on to bigger and better things - which she deserved.

2023-05-01 01:20:24 +0000 UTCit's sad to say that this is Bela's last appearance in the show, and apparently, it was because of negative fan reaction? i liked the idea of Bela, a sort of middleman that knows about what's actually going on, what's hidden in the shadows, about all the supernatural stuff but uses it for her own gain. it's realistic there are other people out there and it's an easy throwaway answer when the boys need something weird and rare. they could've just used her once or every other season, maybe even off-screen mentions. smh.

2023-04-30 10:57:52 +0000 UTCI love Rufus, man. I’m a lot more interested in the Dean/Bela side of this episode personally. The immortality case is an interesting idea, but I can’t help but feel like it was a bit of a weird thing to do right before the finale. It does feed into it narratively, being about buying more time right at the end, and Dean’s decision to not do it is important, but past that it feels like another motw crammed into an overarching story (Bela’s). I’m excited for the finale though, regardless. That moment with the coroner is great though lol. I like the spin on that situation that we've seen many times before. "You done?" "I think so." "Please go away." "Okay." The demon that the boys were interrogating plays Uncle Phil in the new Bel Air show, but he’s also the other lead in 19-2, opposite Jared Keeso; a Canadian cop show that featured a crazy long one-take in one of their episodes. It’s a rough watch due to the subject matter, but the shot is insane. 17!

I was confused about the contractor holding information for a second as well, but thinking about it I believe Ruby only told them that Lilith is the one that wants to lead and therefore hates Sam and wants him gone, but we didn't get told that she also holds Dean's contract, yet...? Probably one of my least favourite episodes. I think I've even skipped out on this episode on any reactor I watched, up until now. The Frankenstein & Frankenstein's monster in one dude story has just always been very boring to me. Let's see what the next one brings. Hope you have a great day. Bex PS: I'm going for a 2.
