This is a great ep! It’s one that starts out funny but as it goes on becomes sad. Sam having to live with those 6 months, forever, is definitely a heavy weight to carry. It’s an interesting look at what Sam without Dean could be like and what he will do to save his brother. When I first watched this I thought bobby was dead and wanted to cry lol

Rachel

Agree. It's a lot to take in/remember and a lot of really good gag reel time.

Been waiting for this episode! One of my favorites but not my #1 yet! Coincidence but I am actually watching this reaction video on a Tuesday!! #15

I was waiting all episode for that dog to kill Dean, your reaction was priceless XD Heat of the Moment has been my wake up alarm since the day I saw this episode years ago. :p When you see Sam going crazy during the six months, what's really sad is that when we see him eating, he bought a burger for Dean too. Even after six months. People's reaction to it being six months later for Sam is always great. It's crazy how quickly the episode goes from "haha Dean keeps dying in funny ways", to "ooooooh, fuck. Poor Sam". Speight (the Trickster) is the guy who usually MC's the Supernatural Conventions (along with another actor they haven't introduced yet) and he is just absolutely delightful in real life. I sang karoake with him XD While I love this episode, the next episode, Jus in Bello, is my favorite of the season, and I can't wait to see what you think! :) Great reaction as always! Sending happy thoughts <3 P.S. 7

After watching this episode it reminds me of how amazing the gag reels are. Honestly the best of any show I’ve seen. I love your channel and have subscribed for years. I know you usually do all the seasons gag reels once you finish the show. However since there are sooo many seasons and long reels for each season. I was just wondering if you would ever consider doing them for maybe every 5 seasons while the episodes are still fresh in your mind. I would definitely watch the hours of the gag reels at the end too. But I always forget the earlier seasons. And I think you would really enjoy seeing all the shit the guys pull and how it progresses over the years. Just an idea.

Agreed, Natasha. There are a couple of others on the list, but S3 has a few of my top ten episodes despite the challenges.

one of my fav episodes and a fan fav, it had me captivated from the start and it was really interesting to see the trickster again! poor Sam though really went through it though, had to live through like 6 months without dean & having to watch him die for over 100 tuesdays. just an insane ep!

For me it's mystery spot, and a very supernatural Christmas, as the major stand outs early on.

Also in my memory that "IT'S WEDNESDAY" dominated the internet for years, LOL. Every Wednesday I'd see it all over the place, 10/10.

I’ve been trying to contain my excitement for this episode. It’s in the hall of fame as far as I’m concerned, even if it’s a bit predictable; like you can tell this episode is going to be a time loop from a mile away, they focus on like ten different innocuous details for seemingly no reason in the first loop. But I kind of don’t care, LOL. I love it. It’s my understanding that the dude who disappeared in the mystery spot is just dead, the trickster already killed him (basically anyway). Considering we saw him use aliens, ghosts (or whatever the first victim in the last trickster ep dealt with), and crocodiles last time, I assume the way he fucks with people is usually tailored, and not the same for everyone. So unfortunately that dude is most likely just gone now. Seeing Sam essentially go dark side is cool as hell, we got a lot of good Jared stuff in this episode with so many different versions of Sam, and in contrast Jensen played the same version of Dean over and over again and I think he did great. Sam went postal, it’s wild. And even though he wasn’t willing to kill Bobby for the spell, he did seem willing to kill a rando. That’s intense. Even if the whole thing was a trick (like I assume the cases he worked were not real), Sam still went through it, like you said, and that's most likely going to stick with him. Fuck, eh. I had actor stuff for this ep but honestly I just want to say how much I love it for the nth time. I’ll mention Richard Speight Jr (the trickster) again, how about that. He’s such a big reason that this episode is as good as it is, imo. I love him. He fits into this show so well, and I'm a little sad that he wasn't used for a character that's more recurring. But I guess if he was in it more, I wouldn't feel the same way about him. For me personally, this episode is a contender for my Mt Rushmore of this show. I mentioned before that a few episodes stick out so much that episode name and number come as naturally as breathing, and this is another one for me. 3x11 Mystery Spot is so special to me. (*breathes heavily in 3x12* 👀) 17! (I wonder when we’re going to get a 13 eh)

I also don't think Dick Speight-Trickster-gets enough credit at how good he is in the Trickster scenes. Especially the last scene with Jared. Always gives me chills.

This is one of my favorite comedic Jensen episodes. But also really highlights Jareds acting skills with the many kinds of Sam he played in this episode
