I've always loved this episode :p It's a lot of fun on a rewatch too, seeing all the breadcrumbs they put in. I really enjoy Tricia Helfer, I think she does a great job. Charlotte was my favorite character in Lucifer. Sam digs up Greeley's grave in about ten seconds flat, it's a little absurd. I gotta keep this short and sweet so I can get caught up and get some more guesses in XD Great reaction as always! Sending you happy thoughts <3

2023-03-31 09:43:53 +0000 UTCHonestly, as far as your standard MotW type episode that doesn't tie into the main plot, this is one of my favorites of the whole show. Tricia does a great job with what she was given, and I appreciate that they were able to help her move on to whatever comes next in a more peaceful way than their usual method of salt+burn. I did see the twist coming myself when I first watched it (and you were super close with the time loop theory!), but I do think that they handled it very well. There were some subtle hints you can pick up on, nothing absolutely blatant, but they were there. I've for sure seen other shows/movies/etc where they have a twist and just put zero actual clues beforehand. Or where the twist is so blatant that you'd have to be actively not paying attention to not see it coming a zillion miles away.

2023-03-31 06:49:05 +0000 UTCThis is such a great episode! It’s not really plot heavy in the sense that it has to do with the main story, but it’s still a favourite of mine. I never saw the twist coming (and I was glad you didn’t either!) I think it’s really interesting to have this episode almost from the POV of the ghost. It really humanizes them and shows the other side of what Sam & Dean do. A lot of the times these spirits aren’t evil or bad people, like Sam said, they just had something bad happen to them. The conversation about what is ‘beyond’ and what happens when they make ghosts move on is interesting too. A part of the job that hasn’t really been talked about yet but is definitely something that I imagine is on their minds often

Plus this episode gets a boost for me too now, after having seen Tricia Helfer in Lucifer. This is pretty much entirely a bottle episode; if it wasn’t for their slightly different look, this episode could be slotted in to pretty much any point in time we’ve seen so far. But it’s probably one of my favourite contained episodes, especially after this rewatch. Where spirits go when they’re “killed” is an interesting idea. I like the freedom this show can have in asking questions like that, even if they haven’t been super concrete on answers. You kind of can’t be, I guess, if you’re trying to cover so many different sources of lore and myths. But I appreciate the exploration of them that we get. The only thing I have down here for Tricia Helfer that you didn’t mention is that she was also Sonya Blade in MKX, and a few other video game roles (Command and Conquer, Starcraft, Mass Effect, etc). She’s also Canadian! 🇨🇦 17!

I wonder sometimes about spirts or the dead and how hard it must be to move on. I don’t know if I could do it and leave my loved ones behind, I would want to haunt them and just be around to see how their doing. I always say human kind is the worse invasive species we just kill, bulldoze, & take whatever and believe it all belongs to us because we are the top of the food chain. Congratulations on the timeloop thingy. I really like the twist in this episode too. I also didn't suspect a thing right up until they told her.
