Yeah the way I heard them say Wendigo stressed me out. They said another name in a recent episode I watched that also stressed me out lol I look forward to the comments! Sending happy thoughts right back :)

"I downloaded that guy Tommy's video to the laptop" is an extremely 2005 sentence.

This has nothing to do with the episode but every time I see Cory Monteith (the first guy in the show that was playing on the DS) I get SO SAD because he was the first celebrity death that made me cry (he OD’d in 2013) and he was just such a good person

Also, because it happened to me again in this episode (because of course it did), something I've come to accept is the idea of "everyone's been in Supernatural." This show shot in Vancouver for a decade and a half so it makes sense for sure. It was also a CW show and they tend to have a lot of overlap.

Whoops, I deleted my comment instead of edited it:
I love how the pilot for the show introduced us to the idea of fighting ghosts and the kinds of things that that might involve, some of the rules for *that* specific kind of ghost at least, and the second episode is about them hunting a monster in the woods, and learning some rules that may accompany something like that, or at least *this* one specifically. I think it's a nice contrast. Like, to me first watching it, it created a spectrum in front of me almost, of the kinds of things that they hunt. Dead souls, spirits, incorporeal on one end, and monsters, creatures, corporeal on the other. It's one of the reasons I love Dean's line "and it's corporeal, which means we can kill it" so much. I don't really know why, but my brain likes how they did that. I also really like how episode one heavily featured Dean saving Sam, and in this episode Sam has to go save Dean.
"Saving people, hunting things. The family business." My heart smiled bro, ugh.
I agree with others in terms of having something to say for each episode, I haven't engaged too much on the channel yet I don't think. And this is the show I'm probably the most well-versed in out of the ones you've done, even if ironically it's the one I haven't finished. My thoughts shifting from long-held opinions (that may change and grow due to absorbing other's thoughts anyway ofc) to wholly new reactions is going to be super fun too.
Much love man. 💚

"Nope, that's just Homeless Jim." Cracked me up so hard XD
I hate the way they say Wendigo in this episode. I swear not a single other movie, TV show or game I've ever watched has pronounced it like that.
When I first watched this episode at the point where the Wendigo corners them in the cave, right at the moment it let out that roar, all of the power went out in my house. And I live in a basement. In Colorado. And Supernatural was the first even remotely scary thing that I'd ever willingly watched. The monster roared, and suddenly I was in pitch blackness. Biggest jump scare of my life, Makes me think of it every time I rewatch :p
Anyway, all the seasons are around 22 episodes, except for 3, because of the writer's strike at the time. And I actually like that set up. Sure there are MOTW (Monster of the Week) episodes, but I think it helps establish the world and lore in my opinion.
Wonderful reaction! You never fail to make me smile and I'm so excited to be able to watch through this with you, and share behind the scene stuff, and reminisce. My goal is to have a little snippet to comment for every single episode, let's see if I can keep it up :p
Sending you happy thoughts :)
