i completely forgot about the Dan and Ella thing bc by the time it's done, it's like it never happened again

The Dan and Ella thing def came out of nowhere for me, and at present I kind of don't see how it'll work? But I have confidence in the actors at least that it'll be fun to watch if it ends up sticking around. As much as prophecy storylines rub me the wrong way, this season's overarching plot is probably the most interesting to me so far. Prophecies sort of need to do something *really* well in order for me to not think it's a bit silly, but I have a good feeling about this for whatever reason. Looking forward to seeing how this unfolds with you, man. :)

I couldn’t agree more!!

Practical effects are the best, but I'm biased as I worked on practical SPFX for 15 years with 65 films, about a dozen series, and numerous commercials. I'm also a pilot so I really appreciate the chopper flying: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQH7wnwBxYw (chopper under bridge in T2) Actually what is scarier than under the bridge in that sequence is when he aborts going under the 2nd bridge as he passes the tanker truck. Popping up and then back down again is harder to do and hit your target track and altitudes than flying straight, level and constant speed under a bridge... And the swat van slamming on the brakes so the helo crashes into it was practical too, though I can't tell if they used a real helicopter, modified to be lighter, or a fiberglass mock up with a lightweight space frame inside... either one on a mobile crane and doing the collision with specially weakened zones of the helicopter and an electric motor to spin the rotor blades. That is the really fun and challenging stuff of doing practical effects. No I just watched it frame by frame and they used a real helicopter*, for the collision. Except without engine, fuel and weakened to crumple like it did, real rotor blades too. (*not one that was operational - one from the aircraft graveyard)

Cami was great in TO. I think she was hated so much too bc of the love for Caroline and Klaus. Also, I got into a back and forth on a comment box note about how I really hated/disliked Davina from TO. I hate the character and she’s annoying/gets in the way but that does not mean I don’t sympathize with what she went through.

every time they manage to pull that stunt it's wild. But I do prefer the practical effects.

Helicopter under a bridge, was first done in Terminator 2. But not a tall bridge like over the LA river, a bloody highway overpass!!! There was literally only 22 feet clearance and the Bell Jetranger that flew under it at 80 knots is 10 feet tall, That is only 6 feet clearance above and below the helicopter. They had to get extra special approval from the FAA to perform that stunt, at night by the way! Ahhh, prophecy! Beware, almost all prophecy real or fictional can have multiple layers of meaning! Is Eve Lucifer's first love??? What does "evil shall be released" mean??? Could be more than one answer for both questions!

I think something to note in case you hadn't caught on is when Eve is speaking of Lucifer, she brings up the "old" lucifer that she met. Especially with last episode and how she thought he was "hiding" himself from himself and brought him to going after Julian. I really love how they finish this season! Can't wait for you to react.

I loved the build up and drama of the ending of this episode and the music choices again were amazing! I think so much of this season is about loss and I hadn't really thought it through before until I listened to your thoughts on the characters and your analysis of how each character might be feeling. I think that you have a very good insight to the stories moving through this season. Each character has lost something, whether it be friendships, hope, relationships, sense of self, and they are all searching ( even Father Kinley) Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I am really enjoying all of this with you. Just a note...your face when Dan and Ella moved in on each other- it was priceless! Trust me you are in good company with nearly every Lucifan who when watching the scene probably looked much the same! I am sure I did!
