And when Amenedude was going around trying to commune with humanity, and he's in the coffee shop looking over the girl's shoulder, she is actually one of the show runners/writers!

I think every season so far (and in future) is a learning arc for Luci and other characters have had their story arcs too but Chloe has just kept going, kept working, kept trying to do what is right. Maybe this season will give Chloe more of a stronger story arc of her own. I agree with you that it is interesting to see Chloe in a different light with different non job, non day to day issues.
