i am 100% sure that Lucifer's story about that tortured soul is from Neil Gaiman, like something from the comics and such bc just like you said, it was dark and poetic in the saddest of ways, it just gives me Neil vibes. honestly, every time Lucifer gets poetic about Hell and such, it feels more like Gaiman's intended creation, it really does. not to say this Lucifer isn't bad, just different that's all im saying
