The 100 - 6x9 "WHAT YOU TAKE WITH YOU” UNCUT Reaction

Marcus's Death was for me the most sad and beautiful death of the show.

If s5 didn’t happen I’d have probably been upset about Kane’s death

This ep is great for octavia, Solidifies her character as a whole, Who she is now is a follow up of everything that’s happened to her as Pike said, Being born illegally, having to hide under the floor for 16 years and only having contact with her mother and then bellamy only, getting caught and thrown down to Earth with no knowledge of anything, wanting to find herself as a grounder and falling for Lincoln, losing Lincoln who is literally her whole identity at that point! Being betrayed by her brother so being completely alone then fighting to save every clan as Lincoln wanted and watching it all crumble through things out of her control and being blamed for it, Then obviously we see blodreina and the whole of s5 playing out with her going off into the dark, I think the butterflies and octavia’s character links together really well with like a butterfly going through metamorphosis, hidden in a crystal to then hatch into a butterfly which is pretty much what happened to her, and now the butterflies being shown in the box in the red colour and all rattled is like the changes she’s been through, I don’t really see Pike as having a redemption moment before Octavia killed him? Like it was a one episode change, if we had actually seen him have some moments of thinking abt what he had done and all I could probably understand but it just felt forced to make it look like octavia is the only bad guy in that situation. Does octavia really need all this backlash and follow up for redemption is something that doesn’t sit right with me, we don’t really see any other character get the same amount of hatred from other characters like octavia did when they all have done just as bad actions which is crazy to me, hence why I always find myself defending her. To me it’s clear octavia lost herself, blodreina is not who octavia is, just someone she became to allow herself to make decisions like that. The whole point of octavia having the blodreina story line was to show she doesn’t know who the person she is anymore, Lincoln was what she based her identity off when she came to the ground, so when she lost him we see her beginning to completely lose touch with reality, and then we see her in the bunker without bellamy who would’ve been her last sense of self, and eventually she spiralled downwards. Now in season 6 we just see her beginning to build her own identity, outside of Lincoln and Bellamy, which is such a good way to wrap her story up.

I love raven this season, you can tell she’s done with everyone’s shit after all that they’ve done

Greyston Holt is a very good actor and portrayed Kane very well, mimicking Henry Ian Cusick which i applaud him for. it;s funny because of Greyston Holt was in this episode of the 100 that i wanted to watch it but then i thought, fuck it and decided to watch the entire show and fell in love with it, some of the characters particularly Bellamy and Clarke along with a few others but then that love fell off when season 7 aired and became something i despised and still do for the actions of one man in power. I absolutely loved the scenes with Bellamy and Josephine in the woods because the points Josephine makes about Bellamy caring about Clarke way more because of course he does because he loves her and cares for her deeply so i liked that Josephine was calling him out on that and then Bellamy cutting himself a little, making himself bleed and rubbing on her forehead to hide that it's Josephine and she's a prime but more importantly he did it because it's Clarke's body so he's going to protect that at all costs. This is the second time Bellamy has cut himself and drew blood to protect someone he loves. It is also wholesome that this was filmed in 2018 with Bob and Eliza filming it as best friends then when it aired in 2019, they had announced that they were married and the now in 2022, seeing this scene knowing that they are happily married with their baby boy makes me super happy and also laugh whilst thinking that now its Bob dragging about his wife in the woods. I really love hearing Belamy saying "i won't let you die." because he is promising the woman he loves that he will bring Josephine to Gabriel, get Josephine out of her head and get Clarke in her body and that is a promise he is going to desperately with every fibre of his being to get back where she belongs, in her body. An I love you would be amazing but honestly Bellarke doesn't need to really say it because it's in the looks they give each other, the touches and "I need you." and "together." are basically their things at this point, Kane's Goodbye scene with showing Henry Ian Cusick, the original Marcus Kane, made the scene more emotional because it was more meaningful that it was him instead of Greyston because there would definitely be a disconnect and it would be less emotional especially with Indra saying the traveller's blessing because that is so special for her to say that for her best friend before ending it with your fight is over and he is sent out into space as his final farewell. it was a fitting end for the character Marcus Kane and he will always be missed. Also i absolutely loved Michael Beach's cameo in this episode and his acting was absolutely phenomenal. Despite the hatred that we all share for Pike, Michael Beach deserves a round of applause for that performance.

I feel you see it all in his eyes though, even Josephine is a bit staggered

"I love you" even just platonically would have been so good!

yeah Kane grew on me over the seasons. Hate to see him go, but it was a good farewell

Such a good episode. Out of the main adults Kane was always my favorite, his development from doing all those things on the ark to becoming kindve the moral compass of the group. I’m also a big fan of the actor Henry Ian cusick & think he did great in this role. To see his relationships with Abby & even Bellamy/Octavia & Clarke grow over the show & his friendship with Indra is one of my favorites. We barely ever see Indra get emotional so to see her tear up having to float her friend made me cry even more. On a happier note I love the Bellamy/Josephine/Clarke scenes as I’m a big bellarke shipper and still don’t know why they stuck him with echo lol & wanted to add that Gabriel is one of my new favs in this season! I’ve enjoyed him a lot !

I love the scenes with Clarke/Josephine and Bellamy in the cave. I do wish they wrote his dialogue a bit better instead of "I won't let you die." As much as my Bellarke heart would love an "I love you" we knew that wouldn't happen, but was hoping for just something more than "I won't let you die" I guess haha.

Stating facts about Theo not deserving to be redeemed in TW.

I agree, Greyston Holt (the Host!Kane) portrayed him very well, including his cadence. "I won't let you die" - WELL JUST OFF ME NOW :') The love he has for Clarke just sends me! IN PEACE, MAY YOU LEAVE THE SHORE, MARCUS KANE. IN LOVE, MAY YOU FIND THE NEXT. SAFE PASSAGE ON YOUR TRAVELS, UNTIL OUR FINAL JOURNEY TO THE GROUND. ♥ Phenomenal character. His absence for the rest of the show impacted me somehow, like I could feel it regardless of what was happening. :(
