say what you will about octavia and her decent into darkness and dictatorship, but she didnt become bloodreina by herself, it was jaha that instilled the one of us or die mentality, it was gaia that had her go out covered in their enemies blood, it was abby that told her she had to be the one to kill those people, to take away their choice in eating or not eating. and it was kane and indra that enabled it by not saying or doing anything to stop it. ( i understand kane didnt want to eat, but he did in the end because of octavia's killing of people, that was suggested by abby, and even when she did kill, she was crying and begging them to take just one bite, she was just as much a piece on the board as the rest of people, never a player) it was later that she took full control of everything and no one left to control her. i feel for her, she was never meant to be a leader, but she was a warrior and the rest of them knew how to use that.

I understand why ppl hate on all the later seasons, but tbh they always end up being the ones I'm most interested in seeing reactions/commentaries to bc they just get so wild I never know how ppl will take whats going on

how many times did we see octavia ask for a different solution or for help and have her advisors tell her there is no other solution then turn on her because she did what needed to be done. it’s messed up

I mean if you could force people to be cannibals and not turn out a slightly unhinged after I’d love to see it😩 as a rewatcher it’s easy to see octavia’s reasoning behind everything because you already know what’s happened in the past

It’s also crazy that it was Abby’s idea but even Kane doesn’t know that(?) so he’s telling octavia it doesn’t have to be that way but she’s enforcing the only option she’s been told

They seriously had no choice back then, as their leader, octavia had to take it on and force it in order for her people to survive, and that included not taking no for an answer which is so heartbreaking for her, all that responsibility
