2022-02-27 05:42:13 +0000 UTCI know a lot of people wish Scott would hulk out and just dominate physically more frequently but I personally think of the whole true alpha thing as a bit of a metaphor for toxic masculinity. He’s an alpha not because he’s physically stronger, not because he intimidates people and forces them into submission. He’s an alpha because he’s a leader, because of his mental strength and because he always strives to deescalate and only enters a physical fight to defend and keep people safe. Don’t get me wrong, some of those moments like when he overpowered the orphan & her hot wire make for great entertainment.But if he just dominated physically and smashed every one who crossed him it would get boring quickly. And if u think of Derek, some of his most “alpha-like” moments are when he held Boyd and Cora apart and just took the beating to keep anyone else getting hurt. And when he did the same thing with Jennifer to buy time until the eclipse was over. And how they portrayed that as a mental battle more than a physical with the music and slow mo visuals.

2022-02-27 02:30:08 +0000 UTCI am so happy they found a way to bring back Crystal! It was a lovely surprise and i do remember actually crying when i saw her 😅 Her accent was pretty bad tho.. It got better through out the episode or i just got used to it. Scott might get his ass kicked a lot but like the true alpha he is, he will never ever give up! I mean he did keep the beast concentrated on only him and he wasn't just letting the beast kill him. I don't know why they didn't show him actually getting some hits in because he obviously was getting some hits inn but then they show Liam getting a hit inn. Sometimes i wonder if the writers actually like Scott..
