Hi friends,

It's been a while since I've posted here and I wanted to keep all you fine folks in the loop. Over the past couple of months my health has not been so great. Whether as a long-term consequence of COVID or something else (perhaps new allergies?), I've been dealing with a case of chronic sinusitis which I've been fighting off since about last September, and this has significantly affected my ability to produce quality recordings and videos on a regular basis. You may or may not have been able to hear it in my more recent videos (I certainly have, and it's been quite discouraging for me). Now, it's nothing too serious, and the situation should hopefully resolve itself with time, but it's something that neither corticosteroids nor antibiotics have helped me to shake off.

Lately I've also been teaching full time (3 classes) at the University of Waterloo, and preparing lectures, conference talks, and keeping up with the needs of students and administration (as well as publishing projects, like the Latin Hermetica and Arcangelo of Borgonovo) have swallowed up much of the spare time that I normally used to put together videos and other content for you fine folks.

As a result of all this, I've been feeling rather guilty over the fact that you are sending me patronage, and I am not reciprocating with regular content. So to address this situation, I have paused donations for a month while I continue to recover and work my way through all my responsibilities at the university.

I want to thank you all for your patience and generosity, and please know that I certainly intend to return with more content, but I'm just taking a short break from collecting donations on Patreon until I can return to a more regular posting schedule.
