Their boss was originally supposed to be Dan's boss from the Dreamspace prequels, but those old drawings were old and not very well thought out, so I ended up designing a guy straight onto the page.
Same with environment - I did mean to do some preliminary concepts of it, but last week was so overwhelming I had to just wing it in production stage. Thankfully, I've had a rough idea of what I wanted it to look like - I very much wanted the whole setup to look like one of rockstar DJs. Of course, instead of tunes they have trips - and if you look closer, some of them seem to be "borrowed" from our indie trippers. Who would've guessed?
What else...ah yes, the ASCII art was shamelessly stolen from this website - http://www.chris.com/ascii/ Apparently, that wolf was made by someone named Melissa in 1996. Sorry, Melissa. Russian hackers aren't too concerned with proper crediting.
