They are all guilt tripping Damon into taking the scar because their like hey, who cares if you die, or never get to be happy, as long as Stefan gets to live forever and be happy, and bonus because Damon wont be there anymore. As for Damon's "self blame" at the end, its more than that, he is just repeating what everyone keeps saying to him over an over again, that its his fault. He feels it because that is all he has been told his whole life.

2021-07-02 01:56:40 +0000 UTCThis episode was interesting because I did like it and so did a lot of people, but Mary Louise and Nora dying left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths. I get a lot of people are always dying on TVD but the only lesbian couple getting killed off didn’t help the diversity issue people had/have with Julie Plec.

2021-07-02 01:54:46 +0000 UTCI think im finally understanding why the later seasons were kinda meh The later seasons brought in very modern aspects..like the armoury, Its not based in any previous mythology or lore, it just comes out of no where, kinda like the rayna cruz storyline (but atleast that was little fun to watch) Tvd left its roots...I dont think these modern-style aspects work for a mythological show Thats why season 2,3 and 4 were soo good...they were purely based on lores of the show Sun and moon curse,The originals,The cure and silas(Which ultimately led to doppelganger and traveller storyline) I think they should have stuck to more mythology based storylines....(They tried to do this in s8, but it had only 16 episodes... Which I think wasnt enough to explain the lore fully and properly)
