Apparently they changed the ending or altered it so that Melinoe makes the choice rather than zagreus

2025-11-06 19:41:42 +0000 UTCMy only problem with the ending really is that it would have needed another cutscene to show how Chronos changes. It felt too abrupt, but otherwise I'm perfectly fine in how they did it. It makes sense that Zag was able to "talk" Chronos out of it. Admittedly, Chronos had no other options at that point. He was completely defenseless and Zag was 100% ready to kill him in case he doesn't take up his chance. Not forgetting that the gods can be very moody and go between "You betrayed me, I'm going to kill you now!" to "Oh I'm so sorry my granddaughter!", which makes Chronos's change more reasonable IMO. After all, at least Zeus, Poseidon and Hades had gotten it from somewhere and some of the other gods are Titans as well. On the post game, I have to agree. Not being able to visit the House of Hades or Zeus Palace or even talk with the other characters from the last game, even if they don't give you keepsakes is annoying and the whole alternate timeline stuff doesn't feel so right. At least have Zag show up in the crossroads from time to time. However, everything else up to the two endbosses makes sense to me. Yes, you have defeated Chronos and Typhon, but the mess they have created is still there and needs to be cleaned up. Same goes with all the bosses still being there, except maybe Hecate. Scylla is too delusional to realise what is going on and for Cerberus it's pretty much just play and cleaning time at this point. On the surface path Polyphemus and Ephyra are likely too low on the priority list to be dealt with so early. Chronos fleet is still around, but likely less organised, plus under a new command (I gonna get to him) and Eris is gonna be Eris and so continues her thing to extent the conflict as much as she can. Than there is the siege of Mount Olympus, the troops are still there, still get resupplied by the fleet and are now under Prometheus command. Like it was clear very early on by Prometheus mentioning it that him allying with Chronos is a pact of convenience and now that the Titan is out of the picture he takes over, because he has a massive justified grudge against the gods and Zeus specifically. My advice would be to let Zagreus have a talk with him and lets see where it goes. You could even argue that it makes sense that all the monsters up to the top of Mt. Olympus, since Typhon created so much of them. Maybe just remove the mini bosses. On Hypnos waking up, I laughed so hard about it, because I have seen all the theories about him XD Also I love it that Dionysus was right from the very beginning XD But overall, I would agree that the genre of the game doesn't really fit the story. You would have to break to from the rougelite to make it more satisfying, which honestly could have been a surprising change of things.

2025-10-23 18:59:46 +0000 UTCHere's the thing that bugged me about the initial ending (the final ending is another thing entirely): It's not Chronos becoming a helpful grandfather because he remembers that life. It's that Melinoe isn't the one who makes it happen. Zagreus is. And I don't think it should be. You spend the entirety of the game up to that point with Mel, working up towards this end goal of stopping this war and saving her family. We know her, we know what she's about, the scene of her killing Typhon is amazing. And then she briefly becomes a side character in her brother's story. The ending you've chosen is "And here comes Zagreus with the steel chair of 'yeah, we're not doing this'." Is that in-character for him to do that? Yes, absolutely. But this is not his game, it's Melinoe's game. Therefore, whatever ending you arrive at, it should be a direct result of her decisions and actions. And that's not really what happened there, and so it doesn't feel satisfying to me.

2025-10-16 21:15:24 +0000 UTCOkay, so like... from the main podcast episode, Tuxedo Mask is not "just a guy". He does in fact have a magic doohickey like all the other Sailor Senshi (it's a rose) and once in a while gets a whole-ass (if brief) transformation sequence. He has some psychic- and healing-type powers in addition to rose-throwing and building-leaping. See, the thing is, Tuxedo Mask is functionally Sailor Earth, which means that he's fundamentally connected to the planet and affected by its status. So when something really bad goes down and Earth needs its defender the most, he'll be at his weakest. Which is where all the Sailor Senshi come in.

2025-10-16 18:47:12 +0000 UTCPlease tell me Red was making a reference to Mega Man X4 with that “What am I fighting foooor!?” https://youtu.be/9OVv-J-LXQU?si=xf15ImufnsYbh3dK

2025-10-16 05:00:52 +0000 UTCI’ve put almost 70 hours into Silksong since it first came out, and I’m almost completely finished with it, and I’m glad to hear thoughts about what has lived rent free in your brain for the past few weeks. I also listened to the pod and Red’s comments about the difference between “actually good, just didn’t get enough reception” and “not really that great, but it scratches that itch in me”. I’ve got an example of possibly the latter, and it comes in 3 words and one letter: MOBILE FIGHTER G GUNDAM!!
