One of the very understated elements of 'My Neighbor Totoro' was that their Mom was pregnant - and was in the hospital due to worries about her health. The end credits show that they get a cute new baby sibling & is very heart-warming.

2025-07-12 13:30:30 +0000 UTCSo to answer the question of why your architecture YouTuber was so into Blame!, the mangaka is an architect who became a manga illustrator (because there’s not a lot of opportunities for architects) and his big claim to fame is his intricate designs. I’ve read some of his other work and his storytelling is a bit floaty and individual characters are often hard to tell apart.
