While I don’t disagree with what Red says, every problem she has with the MCU is that they are movies and not some tighter produced type of media like a book or show that has one person with direct overview of everything. Like, a single movie has near a thousand people working on it. It’s a miracle every time a movie comes out with an actual artistic vision. Millions of people working on these movies, dozens of directors with their own styles and visions they want to express. And money that can’t go to every project they want and has to be divided out. With that in mind, I’m just amazed the MCU is still functional at this point. If I wanted to be really mean, I’d say Red is thinking like a tech CEO who believes one person can be in charge of everything when, soon after Avengers, the MCU became like a state government. You can delegate and signal what needs to be done, and just hope the people you put in charge can manage to do their best.

2025-06-03 19:03:07 +0000 UTCPerhaps my favourite thing in the MCU (that officially isn't in the MCU but it's world is basically MCU earth), is Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur because not only is the show really great, but it's also got a great sense of place since it is set in the same neighbourhood that really makes it come to life and feel real, it actually feels like it's set in a world with stuff around it
