The Voice Memo Files: Rewatching Iron Man!

Welcome to a most unorthodox AASS - an AASS without a show to be after-after! In advance of Friday's upcoming video, these are the straight-off-the-dome fresh thoughts from Red and Blue's Marvel Phase 1 full watch/rewatch! Watch this space - five more to go!

Comments

Have to admit, that I have become an "Iron man fangirl", mainly because of that movie. The sense of "He built that thing himself using his brain instead of brawn" clicked with me a lot. I know, that you will come to dislike the way he is depicted in later movies (just as I have started to dislike Captain Amerika a lot in those movies, especially with Ultron and civil war. And I guess the many "fuck iron man, I am glad he is dead! Sucks to be you! *haha*" comments on "not team-cap friendly" AO3 fanfics really have soured the man with the plan to me a lot...) There had been so damn much potential. They could have used the flaws that they had build into the characters instead of letting them become more and more generic and "We need more action! No need for character interaction/development/anything"

My mind immediately goes to Newt Scamander! Whatever happened with the later movies and their creator, the original Fantastic Beasts movie is definitely about an autistic guy who loves animals and has figured out how to make a living/life out of that!

I've wanted to do a project identifying which popular characters were Autistic for years now, and Tony Stark has always been at the top of my list. And in listening to you guys talk about Tony's entire character arc and traits, I've never felt more validated in my view that Tony Stark, in the MCU as played by Robert Downey Jr, is Autistic!!! I absolutely loved this talk, and I cannot wait to experience the rest of your guys' takes!!!!
