I hope I didn't just do a colonialism!" *Thinks for one second* "my ancient civilization is made up of robots, my main character explicitly respects robots and treats them like people even though most modern bots aren't sapient, and I've written multiple scenes where discovering the tragedy of how the ancient civ collapsed actually makes the characters upset.... I think I dodged that bullet. But definitely a good thing to keep in mind moving forward."
