I subscribed to your patreon because of this video. You guys are great and do a fantastic job at breaking down WHY Transformers One is such a phenomenal film and WHY D-16's turn isn't so "abrupt, sudden, out of nowhere" like I've seen so many people say. The whole time listening to it, it became increasingly clear that neither of you have ever experienced Beast Wars, though. I'm sure it's a pipe dream, but I would adore you guys watching the series that was both one of the first examples of CGI TV shows(made by the Reboot folks) and also the series that arguably revitalized both the Transformers franchise toyline and the lore. The first season is intermittent in quality and a lot of setup and character building, but the moment the season finale hits and you cruise into season 2, you're hitting top gear, and as season 2 progresses and moves from THAT season finale into season 3, the last season, all cylinders are firing and ends in a way that truly makes you understand why even to this day it is considered one of the best pieces of media in the franchise's 40-year history. The visuals vastly improve by season 2 and 3, as well. Beast Wars showed that Transformers could be more than just To Sell Toys. And David Kaye is the best Megatron voice actor there's ever been, bar none. Yessss. I can absolutely tell Inferno will be one or both of your's favorite character. 2025-02-24 09:06:08 +0000 UTCJust a bit of advice about motion sickness and gaming. It is easier on the senses to play a game with a lot of motion from 3rd person viewpoint [looking at the back of the MC] than from 1st person where the entire field of view is open & moving.

2025-02-12 15:14:22 +0000 UTCoh heck i haven't thought much about transformers since i was a kid (i used to love the *concept*, but idk if i actually watched transformers and only ever wanted one – the audio cassette – bc I prefered my egg-mantis toy which was SO GREAT*) but now… like… yeah, please, i'll go find out where i can watch this movie o_o * just googled it: they were called Tamagoras! :o

Previously (and a few times after) they may have met beforehand, but both just tended to treat each other (at times with respect) as the leader of the opposite army. Then Hasbro wanted to make a unified brand identity for the series, so for Prime and the Exodus novel that prequels it, they cherry picked and distilled some of the best and most notable threads and ideas across the franchise (even several of the Primes were derived from various stories and strands)
