You can tell from every move, every fight, every reference, that the makers of this show READ THE ASSIGNMENT, and the assignment was the games. There isnt an attack a character uses that isnt a reference to one of their most hype abilities, down to Alucard whipping out Crissagrim!

My issue with the fakeout is that I feel that the Erzabeth fight was better than Drolta's. You had Richter, Juste, and Maria going off on all cylinders and Erzabeth's just tanking all of it at first. Meanwhile you've got Annette in the background, trying to stay alive while channeling the power of a goddess. In my mind Annette's sole reason for being there was to turn off Erzabeth's god-mode which I find really funny. But it takes all of them working together. Then the Drolta fight was just....meh. Sure you've got Alucard going off and emulating daddy dearest but the rest.....I didn't really feel the stakes anymore. If Drolta and Erzabeth had been one character, then they could have turned it into a 2-episode fight. With Maria getting knocked out at the end of ep7 and Alucard stepping in in ep8. This would have allowed us to somewhat recreate our golden trio (Juste = Sypha, Richtor = Trevor). Although the fight ending with Annette just grabbing Drolta and calling her gross and stupid was awesome. We can keep that in.

Personally I liked the fake-out, using this famous real life (and often vampire associated) serial killer as the theoretical main threat while building a much more thematic antagonist in their dragon.

I would have preferred it if Drolta and Erzabeth were just one character.

Would Rictor qualify as a Himbo? Thinking about lines like “Her heart is with her mummy.” “She gave it to her mother?”

Any chance you guys [that is, Red, with Blue and possibly Indigo reacting] could do a livestream playthrough of Symphony of the Night? I feel like it would be great to see you guys react to all the silliness when you're so used to the show. Plus, playing as Alucard is tremendously fun, and there's all sorts of little secrets and hidden details around the castle to discover. Pretty please? :D

You guys have any plans to check out Epic: The Musical and/or Creature Commandos?

When the bard realizes he doesnt need cutting words and starts learning spellcasting abilities

Nocturne is alot of good fun, but I think my only real problem with it is, surprisingly, Drolta. Like as soon as we had the Egypt flashback, my brain wrote the rest of the reveals for who she is in the story and what Erzabeth (which I finally learned they were using the Hungarian spelling and pronunciation) is in the whole story. So I was bored whenever they did another Drolta flashback. That might just be me though.

The Cayute

I kinda liked how Richter starts by not having magic and needing to trash talk and diminish every monster he cuts down. Then, once he has that power back, he can just merc everyone without needing to add something cutting and witty and brutal.

Late to the party, but Lego Gundam would be such a banger. A tad redundant with regular gunpla, but it would make it super easy to customize once it's done
